  6. On McLuhan‚Äôs transformative model, media and 
  7. technologies are not neutral things out there, 
  8. obedient to our conscious will, carrying our 
  9. messages like packages. Instead, he focused on 
  10. two simultaneous aspects: how media technologies 
  11. change, and how the active user is transformed by 
  12. encountering his or her extensions in media 
  13. environments. McLuhan directed attention to four 
  14. core dynamics of mediamorphosis:
